Iyanya finally reveals why he and Yvonne Nelson split

Iyanya Nelson1Iyanya has revealed real reasons he broke up with Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson whom he dated for sometime before their relationship hit the rock.

The singer made this known in an interview with The Nation when asked about whom his dating presently.

“I am not in a relationship and I will tell you why. It’s not that I don’t want a woman in my life but the thing is that being Iyanya alone is so much work,” said Iyanya, who is currently working on his Extended Play which will drop on March 28.

“So much pressure and so much sleepless night. Oh yea lets chill, oh no I gotta go now, I’m flying over this Friday to spend the weekend with you and I be like okay, come over and when she touched down, I have to go somewhere this night. So all that stuffs is really making it hard for me to have a relationship because not everybody is able to accept the fact that I’m going to be in love with somebody who is not going to be around always.”

When asked if not being around caused the split between him and Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson he said

“that was the main reason actually, although the media will always be the media. But we broke up because we hardly had time for each other. So, it’s like every time she flies from Ghana to Nigeria during that time I drop Kukere I was hustling and I would do four shows in a day and I will make 2million because I was hustling boy and any call at any time I was going for it. So, I won’t say because I was in love with a woman I’m going to see money and I’m going to lay back. When you have a girlfriend and she’s watching your Snapchat seeing girls back stage hugging you she will be like hell no! I can’t do this shit. And then you finally found a nice girl that’s ready to cope with all that and her parents are like Musician keh? So I just have to do my music and make money.”

Chris Attoh and Damilola’s marriage falls apart?

BLANCK1 Damilola Adegbite Chirs Attoh 3Perhaps, Ghanaian actor-Chris Attoh and Nigerian actress-Damilola Adegbite were inspired by the “enduring relationship” of Chris’ big brother-Ken Attoh and his long-time partner-Shirley Frimpong-Manso–after Chris and Damilola starred in Shirley’s 2010 drama/comedy-6 Hours to Christmas.

From on-set romance to Damilola getting pregnant, the celebrity couple got married in February 2015 in Accra at La Villa Boutique Hotel.

Just two years down the line, the marriage has hit the rock. Oh Yes,Chris and Damiloa’s marriage is engulfed in problems that will more likely bring it to an official end–that’s if it has not even already ended,” a source who gave us the tip off said.

The source is 100 percent sure that, the marriage is facing shocking problems–and any social media PDA by the couple, not that we have seen some recently, is a hogwash.

We hope another Tonto Dikeh’s sort of marriage scandal is not being cooked at our own backyard.

Whatever it’s, the ‘gossipers’ are talking and we will soon furnish you with what has caused the “separation” between Chris and Damil

I am in love with Wiyaala; I want to break her virginity – Ghanaian comedian

And not just his love, but also his desire to help Wiyaala “break her virginity”.

I am in love with Wiyaala; I want to break her virginity - Ghanaian comedian

I am in love with Wiyaala; I want to break her virginity – Ghanaian comedian

The self-professed comedian, MC, Actor, Fashion Designer, Radio & TV Host & Musician, Shegelabobor, wrote an open letter to Wiyaala via photo-sharing social network, Instagram.

In the letter, the comedian declared that his love for Wiyaala had increased after a supposed social media “bantam” with her.

Am Finally Convinced and Have Concluded that I Have Fallen In love with You Bitterly, Madly, Insanely and Drastically. I want to Break Your Virginity as you Wish with Immediate effect before this Year Ends,” the letter states as the comedian asserts that he is indeed the right man to “rock her body”.

The letter actually reads hilarious, with a constant play on words.

It ends with the comedian claiming he is indeed the only “chainsaw that can drill through Wiyaala’s virginity.” “From Your Only Chainsaw Drill Machine LoverBoy. Who Still Trusts your Virginity 100%. I am Also a Strong Virgin so Lets Break Each Other For Peace.”

Wiyaala is yet to respond to the letter.

In an interview on Accra-based Adom FM, Rev. Owusu Bempah strongly condemned Afia for saying that he paid her money to arrange prostitutes for him. Afia also described him as a fake man of God.

He dismissed the claims, saying that Afia’s was mentally deranged due to drug use and that she should be disregarded.

“Afia Schwarzenegger is not my class; someone why would I ask someone suffering AIDS to supply me women. I don’t deal with prostitutes,” he said.

Rev. Owusu Bempah went on to describe Afia as ungrateful, claiming that she was spreading lies about him even after he prayed for her while she was sick, fed her and even paid for her airfare to South Africa.

Lil Wayne’s Bus Driver Sues Young Thug, Birdman Over Shooting

Alvin Lewis also names Peewee Roscoe, Cash Money, and Young Money in the lawsuit for placing him “in immediate fear of death and severe bodily harm.”

By Matthew Strauss.

In April 2015, Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot up in Atlanta following a performance. Reports later alleged that Young Thug and Birdman were conspiring to kill Wayne. Later, in November 2015, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey (aka Thug affiliate Peewee Roscoe) pleaded guilty to shooting at the bus, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Now, Wayne’s former tour bus driver Alvin Lewis has sued Thug, Birdman, and Roscoe, as well as Cash Money and Young Money, for placing him “in immediate fear of death and severe bodily harm by attacking and attempting to kill him without any just provocation or cause,” Courthouse News reports (via AllHipHop).

In the suit, Lewis’ attorney details the events that led to the bus shooting, including a confrontation where Roscoe allegedly said to Wayne, “This my city, keep fucking around I’ll spray the bus.” He also states that neither Thug nor Birdman “repudiated Winfrey’s acts of violence.” Lewis is seeking unspecified damages for “substantial and continuing pain, anguish, suffering, discomfort, medical expenses, lost personal and professional property, and lost wages.”

Tyga Sued for $150,000 Over a Ferrari Purchase

Tyga is in hot water due to his money issues yet again!

The 27-year-old has his Ferrari 488 repossessed not once, but twice — and is now being sued for failing to make his lease payments on the car, according to TMZ.

The outlet is reporting a man named Alex Benedict has filed a lawsuit against Tyga over a red Ferrari. In August, the car was repossessed after Tyga apparently failed to pay off the rest of what he owed. However, his legal team (which we bet was paid for by Kylie) threatened to take legal action, so he got the vehicle back soon after.

According to the site, upon getting the ride back, Tyga struck up a deal with Benedict, which entailed giving the car back last month.

But he didn’t stick to the deal — so the car was repossessed a second time earlier this month.  Benedict is now seeking $150,000 in damages.

Last Wednesday, Tyga was served legal papers, which may be in regards to this lawsuit — or maybe another one of his many other legal issues!

The “Rack City” rapper was out at Penthouse nightclub in West Hollywood last Wednesday when he got served by a man who was then forcibly removed from the venue, according to TMZ.

He was recently ordered to pay $200,000 in a jewelry lawsuit – and has paid off $100,000 plus interest to the jeweler.

The repayments were due to be settled in debtor’s examination last month, but the debt was not settled because Tyga said he was “too sick to proceed.”

Earlier this year Tyga was ordered to pay $186,000 over a trashed property in Malibu.

Hey Tyga, maybe stop buying all that bling and settle your debts, yo!

The pictures show Wiyaala, who was dressed in black, looking very badass.

It is not clear if she actually rode the bike or just posed with it.

It will not be surprising, however, if she actually rode the machine, as she hails from the northern part of Ghana where motorcycles are very common and owned by both males and females.

Chart Watch: Bruno Works a Little ‘24K Magic’ to Debut in the Top 5

Bruno Mars’s “24K Magic” blasts onto the Hot 100 at #5. It’s the highest-debuting hit of Mars’s hit-studded career. Only three other singles have debuted in the top five so far this year. Zayn’s “Pillowtalk” and Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” both opened at #1. Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” (featuring Justin Bieber and MØ) bowed at #2.

24K Magic” (pronounced “24-karat magic”) sold 101K copies in its first week, which enables it to enter Top Digital Songs at #2, just 10K behind the Chainsmokers’ monster hit “Closer” (featuring Halsey).

“24K Magic” is the title track from Mars’s upcoming third studio album, which is due Nov. 18. Stevie Nicks had a song with a similar title, “24 Karat Gold,” from her 2014 album 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault.

“24K Magic” is Mars’s 13th top 10 hit; his eighth as a lead artist.

Deep trivia: B.o.B, with whom Mars first cracked the Hot 100 with the chart-topping “Nothin’ on You,” also reached the top 10 with a “Magic” song. His “Magic,” which featured Rivers Cuomo, reached #10 in 2010.

Top Songs

The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” (featuring Halsey) tops the Hot 100 for the ninth straight week. That’s the longest run at #1 by a duo since Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” spent nine weeks on top in 2003-’04. “Closer” also heads Top Digital Songs for the 10th week (with sales of 111K this week). That puts it in a tie with Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” for most weeks at #1 on the digital sales chart so far this year.

The Weeknd’s “Starboy” (featuring Daft Punk) holds at #2 in its fourth week. The song holds at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for the third week. As with Mars’s song, this is a title track — a sign of the confidence that the artists had that these songs would be big hits. The Weeknd’s Starboy album is due Nov. 25.

twenty one pilots’ “Heathens” holds at #3 in its 17th week.

DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” (featuring Justin Bieber) inches up from #5 to #4 in its 10th week. DJ Snake has reached #4 with three hits, but has yet to climb higher. Will he do so in weeks to come? Stay tuned.

D.R.A.M.’s “Broccoli” (featuring Lil Yachty) holds at #6 in its 18th week.

Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” (which featuring Justin Bieber and MØ) drops from #4 to #7 its 12th week.

Shawn Mendes’s “Treat You Better” dips from #7 to #8 in its 19th week.

Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” (featuring Sean Paul) dips from #8 to #9 in its 35th week.

Ariana Grande’s “Side to Side” (featuring Nicki Minaj) jumps from #12 to #10 in its seventh week. It’s Grande’s eighth top 10 hit; Minaj’s 13th. It’s the second top 10 hit on which the two stars have collaborated, following “Bang Bang” (which also credited Jessie J). That smash reached #3 two years ago.

Grande and Minaj are the third pair of female solo stars who have collaborated on two top 10 hits. The first two pairs were Gwen Stefani and Eve (“Let Me Blow Ya Mind” in 2001 and “Rich Girl” in 2005) and Ciara and Missy Elliott (“1,2 Step” and “Lose Control,” both in 2005). You’ll note all three of these pairs include a hip-hop artist. That’s not surprising, since many pop records these days feature a hip-hopper to give them extra edge and urban appeal.

“Side to Side” is the second top 10 hit from Grande’s third album, Dangerous Woman. Her sophomore album, My Everything, spawned three top 10 hits. (The deluxe edition of My Everything contained a fourth, “Bang Bang.”)

Two songs drop out of the top 10 this week. The Chainsmokers’ previous hit, “Don’t Let Me Down” (featuring Daya) drops from #9 to #13. Gnash’s “I Hate U I Love U” (featuring Olivia O’Brien) drops from #10 to #12. (I expect it to return to the top 10.)

Kenny Chesney’s “Setting the World on Fire” (featuring P!nk) drops from #34 to #36 in its 11th week. The song peaked at #29. In addition, the song reached #1 on Hot Country Songs last week.

It’s unusual, but not unheard of, for pop or rock artists to reach #1 on the country chart via collaborations with top country stars. Kelly Clarkson collaborated with Jason Aldean on “Don’t You Wanna Stay” in 2011. Bon Jovi teamed with Jennifer Nettles (of Sugarland fame) on “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” in 2006. Sheena Easton collaborated with Kenny Rogers on a cover of Bob Seger’s “We’ve Got Tonight” in 1983.

Jimmy Buffett and Paul Davis, best known for their late ’70s pop hits “Margaritaville” and “I Go Crazy,” each later collaborated on two #1 country hits.

Shatta Wale’s wife pours out her heart on Instagram

Today marks the 32nd birthday of controversial dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale and he has received a lot of love from his fans and family.

His better half, Shatta Michy poured out her heart to her man on Instagram today with an adorable photo of him and their son, Majesty.

She wrote, “I won’t write no essay or some fake poem but I just want you to know, you’re the best father in the world, that alone makes me fall in love with you over & over everyday, you make motherhood easy for me , you make life easier , aside motivating me and everyone else around you.

I’ve seen the power & wonder of God through u & I’ve come to know Him & love Him too. No one would understand us , but I know what You’ve done to me.”

In related news, Shatta on Sunday tweeted at the president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and his leading opponent Nana Akufo Addo requesting two gifts.

He tweeted, “Nana Akufo-Addo and President Mahama please tomorrow is my birthday so am waiting for my land cruiser and Envelope..pleasseee.”

The artiste’s birthday request follows allegations that the NDC leader is noted for giving 4×4 vehicles to celebrities who have endorsed him and the NDC for the December polls whiles Nana Addo is also said to be giving out fat envelopes to celebrities who endorse him.

The “Mahama Paper” hit maker has on several occasions denied and refused to endorse any of the presidential candidates although they use his works a lot.

Here is a video of Shatta Wale’s Baby in which Shatta Michy played vixen.

Ghana to Celebrate Celine Dion on October 8

Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana /

Hi- Skul band in partnership with Alliance Francaise Accra presents a night to celebrate renowned musician, Celine Dion’s 35th year of bringing the best of songs to her fans and the world at large.

After 35 years as a performing and recording artist, Céline Dion has become a legend of popular music, one of the most powerful and moving voices ever heard

Celine Dion is a heartwarming singer who has comforted many souls, both in her home country Canada as well as here in Ghana and other countries in Western Africa. Not a day goes by without her music: you can hear her soothing voice on the radio, at the street, in shops and bars. Who doesn’t hum along when “My heart will go on” is playing? Her repertoire is very diverse; from intense French ballads to dancing beats.

The idea to celebrate Celine Dion’s music in Ghana dates back to earlier events this year: when a Dutch couple (working and living in Ghana) experienced again that music crosses all borders! The couple played with the Ghanaian Hi-Skul band on two Dutch functions (Cultural Afternoon in the Garden of the Dutch Embassy and at the Orange Kingsday at Afrikiko). Soon after that, brainstorming began on a new collaboration. They found that although Celine Dion is a beloved artist in Ghana, her music is rarely played live.

Time for a change! This year is Celine Dion’s 35th year as an artist. We should all come together and celebrate her music.

All of her hits will be played in this powerful show, with various stage artists. The evening will bring you comedian ID James Brown and Hi-Skul band will feature Abiana, Suzanne and Seyram. And who will be the mystery guest?

The Concert will take place on Saturday, 8th October at the Alliance Francaise Accra, Amphitheatre at 8pm.

It’s not required to know her songs to enjoy this evening. You’ll have a wonderful time! Sit back, relax and listen or dance to the music.

Ghanaian musicians dying like dogs – Nana Quame

Nana Quame5Highlife musician Nana Quame has lamented how most players in the arts and entertainment industry in Ghana struggle to make ends meet at the later stages of their careers.

Speaking to Nii Arday Clegg Snr. On the Morning Starr, Nana Quame stated that entertainers are dying like dogs in Ghana.

“I hold a British passport which guarantees me good medical care in London but musicians are dying like dogs here in Ghana.

“I was supposed to be one of the richest musicians in this country but our structures are poor… in Ghana, entertainers are dying like dogs. It’s the truth! Some musicians can’t even afford three square meals a day”.

Nana Quame, therefore called for the shutdown of the Musician Union of Ghana [MUSIGA] and the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), adding that the unions have done little to support musicians.

“I think we should close down the various music unions and get private companies to run them as proper businesses, To be honest, this country doesn’t have the solutions, the only thing is to keep making hit tracks.

“I was paid just GHC400 as my royalty for 7 years. We talk too much as a people. We hate the truth and you’re blacklisted for telling the truth as a musician. If you do not make hit songs, no one will invite you for shows. I don’t know how things are going to change with regards to the art industry, to me, MUSIGA should be privatized; things will work better if we do”.

The ‘Atia Donko’ hitmaker however stated that the only person who cared and still cares about musicians who aren’t stars is the CEO of EIB Network, Bola Ray.

I will vote for Nana Addo – Kwaw Kese

Don’t Depend On Men For My Expensive Lifestyle – Kenpong’s Ex

Socialite, Hajia 4Real, says her carefree, galavanting days are over! Motherhood has ushered her into a more somber, careful lifestyle and she is ready to steer clear of controversies. According to the 24-year old whose real name is Mona Faiz Montrage, she is tired of the controversies and bad press and does not want to expose her daughter to such negative stories about her when she is of age.

She said the birth of her first child, Neila, has given her a more deeper understanding of life and could therefore not take things for granted and keep to her ‘high life’ status.

Hajia 4Real who spoke to Showbiz in an interview when she visited its offices last Monday said, “I don’t enjoy controversial stories about me because that is not the real me. I’m a free spirited person but surprisingly, I am a shy person but because of the kind of pictures I post on Instagram, people have wrongly labelled me.

“Motherhood has changed a lot about me and I don’t want people to brand me that way anymore. I want my daughter to grow up to be proud of a mother like me and not one that attracts unnecessary criticisms,” the rather shy Hajia 4Real said.

Though she confessed that she sometimes enjoyed the attention from the media, she has gotten to a point where her daughter, Neila is her number one priority in every decision she takes.

“I have come to find out that, life is no more about me so I quickly had to adapt to my new status and change to meet the status quo society has set for mothers ”, she stated.

Born and bred in the Northern regional capital, Tamale, Hajia 4 Real said the inspiration she derived from motherhood has influenced a humanitarian project where she would occasionally donate to orphanages to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged.

That isn’t all, she will personally finance the capacity building and skills training of of some less privileged children in society. “Every year, I would finance five needy children from a selected community as my way of contributing to the development of my country,” she stated.

To prove how serious she is with her project to help the needy in society, yesterday, the Instagram celebrity spent her Founder’s Day holiday with children at the Teshie Children’s Home and also feted 200 children at James Town.

Hajia 4Real shot to fame when her relationship with business man, Kennedy Agyapong popularly known as Kenpong made headlines in mainstream media. The relationship fell on rocks when news of Hajia 4Real dating another wealthy man flooded social media.

But she was quick to dispel the perception that she funds her perceived lifestyle from doing “men game”.

According to the graduate of the School of Fashion, New York, “I’m a very hard working young lady who does not depend on men for my expensive lifestyle. “ You know, some people are also jealous of me and would take the least opportunity to spread false information about me. People who know little about you form their own impressions but I’m happy with the support I have enjoyed from my family because they know the real Mona and not the one on social media and Ghanaians have created,” she stated.

Currently, she’s the C.E.O of LVC Entertainment in New York City, an event company which organises shows, parties and entertainment related activities.

She also hinted on the introduction of her own lipstick and eyelash line as well as opening a beauty centre by close of the year.
